REVIVING THE MUSCIAL ARTISTRY
Born amidst high tensions in eastern Europe, Zeljko Pavlovic began playing the violin at the early age of 3. As he grew, the music bonded him with his family, and at 14, it was the one thing that would keep them going during the siege that shook the city of Sarajevo.
Moving to the United States as refugees, Zeljko fully enveloped himself in music and developed into one of the finest violinist to take up the instrument. As a recitalist, he has performed throughout the United States and Europe, including as a member of the Louisiana Philharmonic and Houston Symphony, as well as performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
In addition, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with the Houston Symphony in performances of legends such as Tony Bennett, Lang Lang, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Emanuel Ax, Yo Yo Ma, Smokey Robinson, and Andrea Boccelli.
Looking for a quality establishment for his children to learn to play music, Zeljko decided to start the Vivaldi Music Academy. The school's highly musically educated instructors work with all levels and ages, including adults.
By making the arts come alive in our great city of Houston, Zeljko is truly shaping individuals and their sense for music.
