Cadillac ELR Will Rock Your Socks Off

Once again, Cadillac has made history by starting production on the new standard in extended range electric vehicles. That’s right, the Cadillac ELR is a luxurious, dramatic 2+2 coupe, based on the highly acclaimed Cadillac Converj Concept which was first debuted at the North American International Auto Show in 2009. With the electric propulsion system made up of a T-shaped lithium-ion battery, an electric drive unit and a four-cyclander engine generator, the ELR will be as exhilarating to the driver as it is responsible to the envirnoment.
More than just a responisble vehicle, the Cadillac ELR is also a good looking specimen. It has a sleek profile and sharp lines that allow it to glide through the air with very little resistance. The ELR also has those signature Cadillac styling cues you’ve come to know and love such as the dramatic grille, jewel-like headlamps and vertical taillamps.
The Cadillac ELR will be armed with an electric propulsion system featuring a lithium-ion battery, an electric drive unit and a four cylinder gas-powered electric generator. Since electricity is the ELR’s primary source of energy, it also has the range-extending generator providing power when the battery is depleted, giving you more going power.
In keeping with Cadillac’s prestigious history of technical innovation, the four-seat ELR will offer something never seen before -- the combination of electric propulsion with striking design and the fun of luxury coupe driving. Prestigue, power and poise all wrapped up in an ELR. Nice.
We can’t wait for this car to make its debut. If you can’t wait either, stop by your local Houston Cadillac dealer to learn more about the ELR, or test drive a CTS, Escalde or SRX today. There’s no better time than now to start living the Cadillac lifesytle.
