In 1999 he signed with the Dallas Cowboys and recorded a career-high 1,097 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Daryl Johnston is nicknamed “Moose” by former teammate Babe Laufenberg, Johnston became a full-time starter in 1991, was a key member of the Cowboys’ Three Super Bowl winning teams (1993, 1994 and 1996) and was a two-time Pro Bowl selection (1993 and 1994 ). He currently is a color analyst for Fox Sports.
Dan Pastorini was drafted in the first round of the 1971 draft out of Santa Clara by the Houston Oilers, Pastorini was known throughout his career as a “tough quarterback”, as he missed only 5 regular season games in his career. In 1975 he was named to the AFC Pro Bowl Team and was a part of the 1981 Oakland Raiders Super Bowl XV champions team.

Ryan Chase started at a Lufkin station while attending Stephen F. State University. He made the leap to KHMX after graduation, jumping over to KRBE for a four year stint. After that, a couple of years in NYC pulling Assistant Program Director duties at Z100 and then getting back on the air at WXRK K-Rock. From that point on it was time to make the leap to mornings with a three year stint of AM wake-up duties at KDGE The Edge in Dallas. Roula Christie and Ryan Chase took a chance and did an audition together and next thing they knew they were Houston bound. Every day Everyday there is laughter and after joining KRBE, Ryan proclaimed that he had found his dream job.
Norm Hitzges is a Texas Radio Broadcasting Hall of Famer, author and sports talk radio host at Sportsradio 1310 am KTCK “The Ticket.” Hitzges is known for his enthusiasm and passion for all sports as well as his keen and insighful interviews with major sports personalities. Throughout his career he has also provided major league baseball commentary and NFL handicapping information for ESPN TV. Hitzges has also been honored by the Dallas All Sports Association and the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame.
Danieal Manning is a professional American football safety for the Houston Texans. He was drafted with the 42nd pick in the 2006 NFL Draft from Abilene Christian University, which made him the first player from a non-Division I school to be selected that year (as well as the second highest pick in the history of the school's football program).
Mike Renfro was elected by the Houston Oilers in the fourth round of the 1978 NFL Draft. A 6'0", 186-lb. wide receiver from Texas Christian University, Renfro played in 10 National Football League seasons for the Oilers and Dallas Cowboys from 1978 to 1987. Late in the 3rd quarter, Renfro appeared to make a touchdown catch for the Houston Oilers to tie the 1979 AFC Championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, officials catch ruled it incomplete and the Steelers would go on to win 27-13. Replays clearly show that Renfro did get both feet inbounds with control of the football but unfortunately for the Oilers instant replay did not exist at that time.
Dave comes to ESPN 97-5 by way of Austin, where he was Austin's ESPN Radio talk show host for three years. He covered the back to back Texas Rose Bowl teams, including the National Championship season when the Longhorns beat USC. He produced for talk station 790 AM KABC and as a weekend talk show host at 97.1 FM KLSX. He also hosted a Morning show for 1310 AM "The Ticket" in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Everson Walls signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, Everson earned NFL All Rookie team honors. During his 9 year tenure with the Cowboys, he was a three time All-Pro and earned four trips to the Pro Bowl. He was also the youngest player selected to the Dallas Cowboy Silver Anniversary team. In 1990 Walls joined the New York Giants and was instrumental in their Super Bowl XXV victory in 1991. In December of 2006, Everson made a decision to donate a kidney to former teammate and friend Ron Springs.
Matt Bullard played nine seasons with the Houston Rockets (1990-94, 1996- 2001) and one season each with both the Atlanta Hawks (1995-96) and the Charlotte Hornets (2001-02). A fan favorite, he was known affectionately in Houston as "Air Bullard" and even had a song written about him called "Air Bull". Matt was an essential member of Houston's first championship team (1993-94). Matt started his broadcasting career shortly after retiring when he joined Bill Worrell and Clyde Drexler on Fox Sports Houston, broadcasting Houston Rockets basketball.

Jay Novacek is considered the most prolific pass catching tight end in Cowboys history, his career with the Cowboys spanned from 1990 to 1996. Between 1990 and 1995 no other NFL tight end caught more passes (339) and only two had more yards receiving (3,576) than the Cowboys’ Jay Novacek. During that time, he made 5 consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl and in 1993 was named Tight End of the Year by the NFL Alumni Association. Jay was also a member of the Cowboy’s teams that won Super Bowl XXVII in 1992, Super Bowl XXVIII in 1993 and Super Bowl XXX in 1995.
Randy White was an All-American in college and the Dallas Cowboys’ number one draft pick. Randy White “Manster” (half man, half monster) was one of the most respected defensive tackles in the NFL. His 14 year career included nine trips to the Pro Bowl, being named an All Pro eight years, being selected for the All-NFL team squad and selection to the Pro Football Hall of Fame his first year of eligibility following retirement.

N.D. Kalu is a University of Rice graduate, N.D. Kalu was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 1997 NFL Draft as a defensive end but a year later moved to the Washington Redskins. In 2001, he returned to the Eagles for 5 seasons and finished out his career for the Houston Texans from 2006-2008. Mike Modano was selected by the Minnesota North Stars as their #1 pick in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft. Mike played with Minnesota for five years until the franchise transferred to Dallas just before the 1993-94 season. In the 1999-2000 season, after only six years in Dallas, he led the Stars in their quest for the coveted Stanley Cup. They have made it to the play offs every year since 2002. Modano is the all-time goal-scoring and points leader amongst American-born players in the NHL. He currently plays for the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL.
Brent Severyn was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 1984. He played for the Quebec Nordiques, Florida Panthers, NY Islanders, Colorado Avalanche, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Dallas Stars. Severyn's primary role with each of his teams was to be an enforcer. He finished his career with 10 goals, 30 assists, and 815 Penalty Minutes (PIM) in 328 regular season games. He was a member of the Stanley Cup winning Dallas Stars in 1999.
Brian Cardinal is one of the newest members of the World Champion Dallas Mavericks. He hit the 20th three pointer in the 4th game of the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers series. His three pointer tied the record for most three pointers by a team in one playoff game, which hadn't been done since the Seattle Super Sonics vs. Houston in 1996. Cardinal won his first NBA championship with the 2011 Mavericks in a six game playoff series against the Miami Heat.
Derek Harper was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1983 NBA draft, Harper spent his first ten seasons with the Mavs averaging 15 points and 6.1 assists per game. In 1993, he was traded to the NY Knicks and was an integral part of a Knicks team that came within one game of winning the 1994 NBA Championship. Derek is currently a game analyst for the Dallas Mavericks and weekend anchor for KTXA – TV.

Alphonso Roundtree is a four-year letterman at Tulane, Alphonso played three seasons in the Canadian Football League. In 2003, he signed with the Miami Dolphins for 2 seasons. In 2006 he signed with the Tampa Bay Storm. Alphonso serves as spokesperson for the YMCA of Houston.
