Proudly Texan, the Cadillac Escalade is made in Texas by Texans. Humbly giving back to Texas charities, Cadillac Escalade is bold and daring. With the launch of our newly updated 403 HP powerhouse, Cadillac wants to use Escalade as a platform to heighten awareness for the heartfelt spirit of a true Texan.
On September 22, 2011, thirty Escalades will drive-away from the Arlington GM plant to begin their philanthropic, multimarket, multimedia campaign in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Each team represents one of the six charities and consists of a charity member, radio personality, and local athletes. The avid competition will be intense from the start, September 22 until the end, October 29th, a month log journey advocating each charity.
Cadillac will produce, publicize and promote a PSA for each charity. The charity that receives the most Facebook exposure through voting, sharing and acting for their PSA will receive additional media support valued at $150,000.
Six charities, nineteen celebrities, four cities, and one bold drive to change lives. Team Escalade Texas is part of Cadillac’s Texas Spirit campaign, an eight year program, designed to pay tribute to charities and philanthropists throughout Texas. With the combined power of radio, digital video and social networking, we hope to drive a surge of energy in the market. These charities will benefit from coverage on a key radio station, publicity on TV, online exposure and presence on our local Cadillac web sites, Facebook pages, and Twitter accounts. Take part in giving back; vote for your favorite, share the word, and act to make a difference.
Team Escalade TexasTeam Escalade Texas is led by Drew Pearson. Pearson will travel to all markets to attend events and conduct interviews on behalf of Team Escalade. Each charity will also be given an exclusive team that supports the individual charity missions. Each team consists of a radio station in Dallas and Houston that provide station personalities, events, on-air support and more. Additionally, each charity will receive well-known celebrities as team mates that help spread the word.
